FAQ

Answers to your most common questions

“Umeed” means Hope in Urdu. It reflects our mission to bring hope, dignity, and free, quality healthcare to people who might otherwise go without.

Yes! Umeed Welfare Trust UK is a registered charity in the United Kingdom (Charity No. 1106147). We operate transparently with published accounts and annual reports.

Every donation helps us run the Bangrilla Community Hospital in Azad Kashmir, fund free eye surgeries, dialysis, food packs, and health outreach. We also follow a 100% Zakat policy for all Zakat-eligible donations — meaning every penny goes directly to helping those in need.

Our main work is in Azad Kashmir and rural Pakistan, but we also support health awareness and maternal wellbeing projects here in the UK — reflecting our roots and commitment to local and international impact.

You can support us by donating (Zakat, Sadaqah, or general gifts), fundraising in your community, volunteering your time or skills, or partnering your organisation with our projects. Every bit of help makes a difference.
